Brunello di Montalcino Winemaker’s Dinner with Villa Poggio Salvi
As part of our International Winemaker’s Dinner Series, the University Club of Toronto welcomed members and guests to an unforgettable evening of Brunello with visiting proprietor Luca Belingardi.
Amazed by the beauty of the landscape, Eng. Pierluigi Tagliabue decided to purchase the company in 1979, and began the restructuring of the estate. Today, Villa Poggio Salvi counts 21 hectares of vineyards in Montalcino, all planted with clones of Sangiovese Grosso.
Villa Poggio Salvi is a company that looks to the future with passion and competence, under the wise direction of Pierluigi Tagliabue and his grandson Winemaker Luca Belingardi.
Guests experienced the entire lineup of stunning Brunello wines made from the world-famous Sangiovese grape alongside a five-course meal prepared by Head Chef Douglas Walker.
