Thursday, May 9th Munk Debate will tackle the geopolitical issue of the moment: is China a threat to the liberal international order?
Arguing the affirmative is HR McMaster, the former US National Security Advisor and decorated military officer. He will be joined by Michael Pillsbury, a key advisor on China to President Donald Trump and director for Chinese strategy at the Hudson Institute.
Speaking against the resolution is Kishore Mahbubani, former president of the United Nations Security Council, and past dean of the National University of Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. He is joined by Huiyao Wang, the Founder and President of the Centre for China and Globalization in Beijing and an acclaimed scholar of China's impact on the global economy.
